Con: Early Mornings

There is no denying that being a farmer is extremely hard work. You will need to put in very long hours every single day – and you won’t necessarily get the weekends off either! After all, if you have cattle on your farm, the cows will still need to be fed and milked no matter what day of the week it is. And that could mean getting up extremely early, even at the weekends. In some cases, farmers get up before the sunrise to ensure that they can get through their daily to-do list.

Pro: Be Your Own Boss

One of the best things that most farmers enjoy about their work is that it gives them the chance to be their own boss. They no longer have to answer to anyone else and they are able to run their farm however they think is best. For some people, this is the independence in their career that they have strived for forever, and they really enjoy it!

Con: Heavy Investment Needed

If you set up a farm from scratch, you will need to pump a lot of money into it. After all, you will need to buy enough farmland as well as any buildings, such as barns and sheds. Not only that, though, but you will also need the necessary equipment and tools of the job like AP spray parts, tractors, and trailers. So, as you can see, getting started can be very expensive! Thankfully, there are plenty of agricultural loans that you will be able to take advantage of. If you don’t fancy getting into any debt for the sake of your farm, you will need to start saving now!

Pro: Can Enjoy Country Living

When you are a farmer, you get to live out in the countryside surrounded by beautiful landscapes and breathing in all that fresh country air. It really is one of the best places to live! You will find that living out in the country gives you the chance to recharge your batteries and shrug off all of your stress.

So, do you still want to become a farmer?!
